The latest research on application performance management (APM) from leading IT analyst firm Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) is a deep dive into the trends and requirements driving investments in APM solutions and the outcomes companies experience when such solutions are put in place. It delves into questions relating to the impact of APM solutions on digital transformation, business outcomes, and costs. Surprising findings emerging from this study will be discussed in depth during this live event.

As an example of the questions answered by this research, here is one highlight:

Question: Which key factors correlate most strongly with exceptionally high year over year revenue growth?

Answer: Three key characteristics distinguish companies reporting year over year growth of 75% or more. They include:

  • Investments in application-focused, versus silo-focused, management tools: 95% of all respondents in the high-growth category describe their companies as “very successful” in deploying application-focused (versus silo-focused) management tools.
  • Mainframe usage: Nearly 50% of all respondents in the exceptional growth category are running mainframes.
  • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) usage: Approximately 50% of all respondents in the high growth category have deployed SOA-based services.

Surprised at these outcomes? Join Julie Craig, research director at EMA, to learn other surprising facts about the impact of APM investments on both IT and line of business.
